i've had the same one for almsot 4 years now, just spiking it up with gel on very short hair, but its getting old but i would like to know of some that are "in" i would like answers with picture references and the name of the hairstyle please also if you can...the size and type of hair you need for that style for example:

thick hair is kinda hard to work with why dont you try to use like a oil type base i forgot what its called but if you just use a little it wont make your hair greasy but it will keep it in place but soft. some gels in the jar are light weight and it wont make your hair feel hard. what about moose or hairspray just in the front and leave the rest alone. if you want it so its not so poofy when you get out of the shower put a hat on and it will flatten it out. there really is not much to do with your hair cuz your style now is whats hot these days i mean if you comb it to the side its dorkey you know. lol good luck

Try an ice-freeze hairspray. There are many on the market to use. That way you can keep your hairstyle the way it is. If you don't get results (which I don't see why not) you should just part your hair on the side and keep it short and manageable.

Don't cut your hair short. I cut mine very short a couple of years ago and its finally starting to get long again, but I regretted cutting my hair more than anything. I look at old pictures of my long hair and I get pissed off because I cut it. Don't cut it short unless you are completley certain you want it.

i have short brown hair; got it cut a few months ago. when it's really short, i sometimes spike it up with a little gel or hair wax. as it grows out, i put more curls in it, sometimes wearing flips (curl hair up instead of down). there are a lot of great sites out there will tons of ideas, just run a search for "short hairstyles" and you'll get a lot of ideas that are pretty simple to do at home. one thing that is very important, at least for me, is to have curling irons in different sizes.

A short 'bob' would look cute depending on how curly your hair was. Also you could leave it shoulder length and that would be cute too. dunno about websites...but you should have it loose, completely natural, but with a tiara or circlet- that would look loverly. most people get their hair curled for the prom, and then pile it high on their heads! it looks so silly and common.

Ok so my hair was past my sholders and I went in to get a trim. Well I knew that my hair was in bad shape, I have dyed it every color of the rainbow and permed in not to long ago. So my hair was pretty dead. I could have spend a bunch of money and conditioned it, but I went the oppisite direction. I cut it all off!!! Now it is about 2 in long, which is not a huge deal I had my hair short all through high school. Now the problem is I can't figure out how to wear it. you can slick it forward or to the side... it sounds ridiculous but my friend has very short hair and thats what she does for work. it looks very nice. oh and add a small and cute clip to the side if you slick it. and when she just at the movies or home she just spikes it. when your hair is really short, spikes dont look like too "15 year old"-ish.

Your hair won't be nappy and you can style it. Just like my icon, swift your front hair to the side a bit, and your back hair to. Don't worry about it I am a little chubby also, but I have a lot of friends. When I first moved to me new school I didn't have any friends I was frumpy and fat. I dieted just a tad, had some nice clothes, did my make up and had nice hair. I instanly made friends after I improved myself. I have really short hair too. Generally what I end doing is wearing my hair very similar to the way I usually do. However, I give myself more time spend on it to make sure it looks exactly right. Not only is it really easy, but you are guaranteed a look you love. (and a little extra time for pre-prom preparations.)

I have a rounder face, so longer hair looks better on me than short hair (as I had chin-length hair 5 years back and it looked horrible!).

I currently have thick, long, blonde hair. It reaches just to the bottom of my back when wet, and when dry, it goes between the middle of my back and the bottom of my back. My hair is NOT curly, it is wavy. My bangs are the length of the rest of my hair. I've never had it dyed or permed, my hair has only been cut (and straightened at home).

I wear my hair in a ponytail EVERYDAY (sometimes I wear it half-pony) and it gets *so* boring! When I wear my hair down, it poofs and flows over my shoulders which gives me an odd look.

I put my hair up in a pony when it is wet, and this breaks my hair. I currently have broken hairs and no hairs at my scalp (similar to a receding hairline) and this is why I am looking for easy and new hair styles that can be done in less than 10 minutes. I need to stop putting my hair up in a pony when it's WET!

Well, first... used covered hair stretchies or scrunchies... they won't break your hair as much.

2. try using large jaw clips to put your hair up instead of the stretchies and scrunchies.

3. You said you have straightened it... try using a smoothing blam or straightening creme after you wash... Garnier is good, Sunsilk or Avon... all good ones... (I use all three).

4. Also try smaller jaw clips to pull hair back on the sides.

I have thick hair, wavy hair.... I also home straighten every couple months... there are large jaw clips out there [walmart, target]. My hair right now falls just below my shoulders.

Never thought i would ask on yahoo about what kind of hair style i should get, but i need a change. Im thinking to get it cut shorter to spike it up, but im not really up on what guys hairstyles are good or not. Input would be appreciated.

Ok cutie, I am a nurse, and to be honest, you get alot further and go over a lot better with short, short hair. Don't grow it out. Keep it trim and close to your head. It will keep you from getting bugs from your patients.

All girls are different. I'm into longish/slightly long hair. Floppy fringes can be really cute, or little wisps at the back. But it really depends on the woman. My friend is very much into crew cuts, whereas I don't find them so attractive. In general go for something in the middle (like short at the back, but with a fringe) and you should be fine.

My hair is long now, but 4 years ago I cut it all off and got a texturizer. I loved it. It was very low maintenance and cut my prep time down a lot. When my hair started growing out I rocked a fro. Depending on how short the hair is and the texture, you could do a lot of things. You also want to factor in maintenance. I don't like working on my hair for a long time every morning.

Ok, so I am considering cutting my hair. It is long (close to my elbows) I am kinda bored with but afraid that if i cut it I will miss it being long. Any way i think that if you cut it you should keep the bangs but maybe just cut your just below your shoulders, or get it cut into a bob. whatever you make sure your absolutely positive about doing it before you do. also donate it if you do so that even if you don't like the cut at least your hair contributed to a good cause. Just remember its only hair and it grows back

If you do it a little at a time, then it's less likely that you'll miss your long hair. I used to have long hair like yours and then I got bored with it (like you are) and I cut it. I didn't regret it at the time, but then I got bored with the short hair since it took some time to style. So I dyed it. That was a few years ago and now I'm in the middle. I have long hair again and it's dyed. Anyway, my advice is that if you cut it to shoulder length, keep it all one length until you get used to it. Then if you decide to add layers or whatever, it won't be as big a shock! (It's shocking, especially the first time you wash it!)

There's a style where the hair is short %26amp; tapered in the back but gets longer as it goes to the front so that the hair that frames the face is usually a bit below the ears. I'm 16 years old to be 17 in april. i had super long hair just a couple months ago, had about a foot taken off and donated, got my hair styled and it grew out in a few weeks. my hair grows really fast. i liked getting rid of a lot of my hair. its easier to deal with and move around and i have heard that if you get your hair cut short then it takes longer to grow. obviously it will take longer to grow back out, but i mean it takes longer to grow at all. is this true? i really want to get my hair cut short, but i don't want to get a style that is too old for me. meaning that i'm not looking to look all grown up cuz im not yet and i like it that way. then again i don't want to look younger either. i need some opinions. i believe i have an oval face. a couple of sites say that it's oblong. it's not round, but it's not really long either. i also have medium thick hair. so would these cuts be right for me?

Don't go down the extensions route anyway, they're itchy all the time and in the end you may have damaged your hair so much that you may need to cut more off it. Definately not worth the few weeks of ponytails!

Mess with curlers and straighteners and gels. Most people put me to shame, they have no real length but have a different style everyday.........I have it just below the shoulder and do nothing, nada, I don't even blow dry, it's all in the cut, I say to cover my laziness!

She just puts them on and her hair stays out of her face...Walmart carrys great ones to put in your hair.. If you have layers then you could just put some volumeizing moose in your hair and blow-dry it straight and your layers would stand out and it would look great....Sallys Beaty Supply House carrys some great new extensions by Jessica Simpsons Hair Stylist And they are great for any hair and they have a bunch of different styles, The highest price that I seen on them was only $60 dollars and they were like 18 in extensions so I imagine that shorter ones would be cheaper.

Since you are in sports, I would say to pin(barrettes etc.) the short part back and put the rest in a ponytail. Extentions are expensive wherever you go. Next time, make sure that your stylist and you are on the same page, at the consultation.(Before they get the scissors out!)

Hey I know how that is to get your hair cut to short. Well You can style your hair many ways. If you know how to poof it poof it than pull the front section(like about 2 inches of it) and pin it. I hope that makes sense!! You can pull it half up and half down. THis is cute!!! You can curl it like--- Ringlets, but also Diffuse it!! Just wearing it straight it cute to!!! Now for The extension part!!! I have extensions now, but the good thing is they were very cheap for me. You can get the hair-- real human hair at Sally's beauty supply and also the glue.. THan you jsut part your hair in sections and just glue it in. It is really easy and the whole extension thing will probably cost ya about 30-40$. I use the bonding glue and it comes out easy with the products they have there... I also think one more way of doing short hair is waving it or flipping it out!! I hope i helped ya good luck!!

I suggest those rubberband/cloth headbands for the time being, or put the top part of your hair up in a mini-ponytail, and let the bottom half hang.

Don't fret too much though, cut hair's supposed to grow faster than when it was longer. It'll be back to where it was soon.

How about a short disconnected bob. It is a lot longer in the front with a disconnect to the short back. This way you don't have a drastic change except in the back. You will still feel like you have some hair.

I don't think so. I went and asked for it and they had no idea when to Koreans that's a very well known hairstyle.

Korean/Japanese/ Chinese hair is very strong and requires real precision cutting. Hairstylists who mainly work with Caucasian hair find Asian hair a challenge, so unless you want to take a risk, i'd stick to what you know when it comes to hair.

As for styling products, Fructis has a fabulous line to give you great curls. First shampoo and condition with Fructis Curl %26amp; Shine. If you've got dry hair or split ends, I reccommend using Fructis 3 minute conditioning treatment as well. Towel dry and gently comb/pick through hair. Work in Fructis Curl %26amp; Shine Leave-In Conditioning Cream. Comb again. Then use a small amount of Fructis Soft Curls (its this waxy cream in a round tub). Rub into hands and work into hair. Flip over your head and scrunch it up with a towel. Flip back over and blow dry on low or cool while scrunching small sections. Dry it partly and let rest air dry naturally. Finish with Fructis Curl %26amp; Shine hairspray. Voila!!!

All the Fructis products are about $2-$5 at any supermarket/drugstore/etc. And they leave your hair in impecible condition because they use so little alcohol in their products.

Yeah! Put your hair back into two small pigtails! It's the cutest thing! I had short hair, and it was so adorable, plus a lot of people complemented me, then they started cutting their hair and puitting it back into pigtails. Make sure the pig tails are more towards the back of your haed than the front or sides. The sides may look to redneckish! LOL!

If you have curly hair then plating it into 2 bunches would look nice.

But u have green eyes guessing from ur avatar, so maybe shoulder length hair, or a cute bob, and side bangs to show them off. If u think u look too masculine, try eyeliner and mascara! Seriously, they aren't that hard! And brown or pale blue eyeshadow.. Don't forget blush and pink lip gloss too! U will look seriously cute if u take my advice, also try wearing different clothes, maybe like, a skirt and sleevless top, or halter neck top. u c an try either layering ur hair, or curling it a bit 2!

The problem is my hairs are too light and thin ,so in long hairs my scalp brightens out n looks bald .Hairs get set only when i applied hair gel to make them hard and thick temporarily . I have light brown hair, and I got natural looking haighlights about 3 months ago. I had my hair long for years and I got it cut short a few weeks ago. I just don't know a good way to style it. as for getting rid of the frizz, try the cult product, john frieda frizz ease serum. it works wonders

about earrings, a general rule of thumb is not to wear anything that hangs longer than your hair, and don't forget to use cute bows, barettes and bands to style your hair with.

EDIT: when your hair is wavy, don't bother trying to fight it by spending lots of time and money on products, just leave it messy. comb it at night, and after a shower, but not before you go out, it'll just look a mess. wear rag-rollers to make it look even more waved!

i think you could pull off the really short ones. but in order to not look boyish, you will probably want to wear some makeup, or jewelry. you are thin enough that you should look pretty, i think. you even look a little like one of those models.
