Is your hair all one length besides the bangs if so you could consider getting long layers to start with work to shorter down the road if you want curling it al over giving it some volume pull the sides up with a clip or barrett flip the ends up hope this helps

I have short shoulder length hair also, and i usually put in frizz ease curl booster while it is still wet and then dry on low with a diffuser. Or sometimes I curl it straight and under. The new style is to pull your bangs to one side. Give it a shot. Good luck.

i like to straighten my hair - no curling or anything, just straight - and pin the sides around the back of my head. its very chic looking, and SOO easy to do. you can play with wispy's and what not too. it also gives your side swept bangs more attention, which looks awesome.

then just throw a touch of pantene pro v texture hold hair spray on it to keep the fly-aways gone. :-)
