im having about 2-3 inch long hairs and i want to cut it down to short hairs just a cm. long. The problem is my hairs are too light and thin ,so in long hairs my scalp brightens out n looks bald .Hairs get set only when i applied hair gel to make them hard and thick temporarily . This problem doesnt arouse in short length hairs and they suites on me too . My dad advised to keep them long and mom saying to cut it short . coz medium length hairs after a long time luks very odd (uncontrolled ) , dad saying to keep hairs as it is(long) . What should i do with my hairs now ?

I think that you should cut it down if that's what you want to do. You should do whatever you think is best for yourself.
