I have light brown hair, and I got natural looking haighlights about 3 months ago. I had my hair long for years and I got it cut short a few weeks ago. I just don't know a good way to style it. My hair was really straight when it was long, but since I got it cut, it is now a little wavy and flips out just a little. I have really thick hair, and it frizzes later in the day if I brush with water. (Alos frizzes really bad on humid days) What kind of styles are in that will look good? Oh and I have two holes on each of my ears, so now my earrings will show more often. Also, My hair is a little layered. And I like to part my hair in one straight line on the right side of my head. Whats a good part?

you should go for the feathered look. if i had short hair, i would do that. i think it is so pretty!!
there is a shampoo that you can buy at sephora to get rid of frizz. i've tried it and it works really really well! it is jonathan frizz control or something like that. its a little pricey though ($20) but i think it's worth it

you sound like you already have a hair style that you like. anyways, hair is an accessory. it doesn't make the person, it just accents a little. try a few different styles and decide for yourself how you like it. try looking in the books at any reputable hair salon. there are always 3 or more books to look through and the stylist should be able to do anything you see.

well my hair is the same type, but darker. i have it bobbed around my jawline with lots of blunt, choppy layers, and bangs to match, i think it looks really cute when i straighten the fringe, and scrunch up waves in the rest. i usually top it all off with a ribbon. try a zig-zag parting. it adds a lot of volume to shorter styles.

as for getting rid of the frizz, try the cult product, john frieda frizz ease serum. it works wonders
about earrings, a general rule of thumb is not to wear anything that hangs longer than your hair, and don't forget to use cute bows, barettes and bands to style your hair with.
EDIT: when your hair is wavy, don't bother trying to fight it by spending lots of time and money on products, just leave it messy. comb it at night, and after a shower, but not before you go out, it'll just look a mess. wear rag-rollers to make it look even more waved!
