Many men (not all) prefer exaggerated feminine traits - that's why some men show a preference for large breasts, round bottoms, narrow waists, full lips, that sort of thing. Long hair falls into that same catagory.

Well I was told it looks more feminine, my hair is very fine so when I go short it looks terrible on me. Some women can pull off short hair and look great, while others tend to look like a guy from the back.
